The Therapeutic Life Story Work approach helps children explore and make sense of their pasts. Richard Rose is a pioneer in the field, using practical and innovative techniques to work with children. Richard has also published several books, and delivers training around the globe.
We are currently offering several training courses in the North West of England, allowing people to learn more about the approach. We also offer the option to complete the Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story Work, meaning professionals can practice in the field.
The Introduction to Therapeutic Life Story Work
Date: 19th and 20th November 2018
Venue: Burnley FC
The introduction is suitable for any professionals, carers or people who want to know more about the approach. It gives an insightful overview into Therapeutic Life Story Work and working with children to understand their pasts.
The Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story Work
Date: 4th and 5th February 2019 and the 18th and 19th March 2019
Venue: Burnley FC
The certificate allows delegates to become practitioners in Therapeutic Life Story Work and equips them with all necessary knowledge to complete a piece with a child. In order to attend the certificate you must have completed the Introduction to Life Story Work with Richard Rose, or be booked to attend the introduction with us in November.
Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story Work
We will also be running an Advanced Certificate which will allow for a deeper understanding of the model. Each session discusses practical activities and suggestions for completing pieces with children. We are currently confirming the dates and final details. In previous years, sessions have covered a range of topics, including sexual behaviour problems in children and working with children with autism. Professionals can attend these dates as part of the advanced certificate, or as standalone days to further professional development.
