We are a Social Work and Therapeutic Company based in the North West of England. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate, with relevant experience working with families, children and young people, to join our team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to develop their own skills whilst delivering excellent services to those in need.
The role is extremely varied and includes completing assessments using the assessment frameworks, working with families to complete therapeutic life story work (training provided) and leading sessions at our Contact Centre with parents and children. We are currently a small, hardworking team looking to expand our services, making it a really exciting time to join our organisation.
You will be based within our St Annes office, and will work closely with our Service Manager and other members of the team, to provide an outstanding service for children and young people. The post may include weekly travel within the North West of England. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is committed to working therapeutically to provide the best outcomes for children and families.
To undertake independent assessments with families
To carry out Therapeutic Life Story Work using the Richard Rose model (training provided)
To work within our contact centres in Burnley and St Annes, including leading contact sessions, completing parenting plan work with families, and completing observation reports
To undertake other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the salary grade and the overall purpose and principles of the job
Degree in Social Work
Direct experience of working with children and families.
Understanding of child protection policies and procedures and the importance of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Experience of setting appropriate professional boundaries with families.
Practical knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable families and being aware of any issues a practitioner may face while working with vulnerable families.
Knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products
Full Driving Licence
This post has the following special circumstances:
Mainly based in St Annes and/or Burnley, and across Lancashire, but will at times need to travel across a wider geographical area.
Flexible working required to include some evenings and occasional weekend work.
A current full driving licence.
